DPA Microphones' award-winning d:facto Vocal Microphone is looking better than ever

thanks to the introduction of new grids in gold and nickel finishes. The new grids, available

now, are the perfect accessories for vocalists wanting added pizazz for their onstage per-

formances. The grids are delivered as total solutions with foam and pop screen. Addi-

tionally, the nickel option matches the finish available on the Sennheiser 2000, 5200 and

9000 wireless mic systems and comes complete with capsule and corresponding

adapters.

Musicians who don't sing but still want DPA's renowned sound quality for their musical

instruments need look no further than the hugely popular d:vote 4099 Instrument Mi-

crophone range. These tiny, lightweight clip mics feature a versatile and extendable

gooseneck, sturdy shock mount and a detachable cable, making them perfectly suited

to the rigors of touring and live performance.

Thanks to a steady increase in sales to rock bands such as Metallica, D-A-D and Paramore,

DPA has now introduced new d:vote 4099 Rock Touring Kits that are designed to make

life easier for engineers. Users have a choice between a four-piece or 10-piece Peli case

package. The 10-piece kit includes 10 d:vote microphones, 10 adapters and 25 holders for

different instruments adjusted to either rock or classic applications. The 4-piece kit in-

cludes 4 d:vote microphones, 4 adapters and 10 holders. The company has also released

two similar Classic Touring Kits for classical musicians.

Completing DPA's mics for the live stage is the superior d:dicate Recording Microphone

range. Incorporating the new modular MMC4018 Supercardioid Capsule, the well-known

MMC4007 High-SPL Omnidirectional Capsule (now re-launched for modular use) and

the modular 4000 and 2000 microphones, the d:dicate range allows users to combine

various capsules with DPA's state-of-the-art preamps for extra versatility. These preamps

include the A, which is a Class A transformerless design; the B, a low cut and high boost

filter version; the compact C option for visual unobtrusive miking; and the new modular

active MMP-E cable for hanging or table applications. An MMP-F modular boom pole is

available for podium or floor stand use of the d:dicate capsules.

DPA will show its entire range of microphones for the live stage at Prolight + Sound 2014.

It will also run a daily draw giving a lucky person the chance to win a DPA microphone

Die Fohhn Audio AG stellt auf der diesjährigen Prolight +

Sound in Halle 8.0 K90 ein neues, großes Beam Steering

Line Array System mit Namen Focus Venue vor. Dieses er-

öffnet eine gänzlich neue Leistungsklasse in der Beam

Steering-Technologie. Hinsichtlich Dynamik, Reichweite,

Schalldruckpegel und Präzision in der Schallsteuerung ist

das System derzeit einzigartig. Es ergänzt die erfolgreiche

Focus-Serie um drei neue, hochleistungsfähige horngela-

dene Hoch-, Mittelton und Tieftonsysteme. Diese sind frei

kaskadierbar, skalierbar und kombinierbar. Die Schall-

steuerung erfolgt – wie bei Fohhn üblich – mittels einer

Software (Fohhn Audio Soft) intuitiv und in Echtzeit. Focus

Venue wurde entwickelt, um in großen Räumen mit an-

spruchsvoller Akustik, wie z .B. Konzerthäusern, Messehal-

len, Stadien, Kathedralen etc., bestmögliche Klangqualität

für Sprache- und Musikbeiträge zu ermöglichen.

At Prolight+Sound 2014, Fohhn Audio will unveil the

latest addition to its Focus Series range of steerable

line array systems. A new high performance series,

aimed at large venue installation and live sound appli-

cations, will additionally complement the range of

loudspeaker models currently available in the manu-

facturer’s Linea Focus and Focus Modular series. The

new series offers a robust but elegant set of high-, low-

mid and low-frequency active loudspeakers. These can

be combined for greater coverage when used in chal-

lenging acoustic venues and performance situations.

Featuring high-powered drivers and speaker chassis

for extended coverage, the new loudspeakers will offer

all the standard elements of Fohhn beam steering

technology, including real-time remote control and

monitoring via Fohhn Audio Soft software.
